Heat Map for $2k Cash Giveaway at Riverina Skips Clean Up Griffith Day – Sunday 28 September 2025

🌿💛 On Sunday 28 September 2025, we’re inviting locals to come together and help give Scenic Hill, Griffith a much-needed tidy-up — and maybe even discover some hidden treasure along the way!

This isn’t an official “event” — it’s simply people coming together to make Scenic Hill cleaner and safer for everyone. While you’re picking up rubbish, you might also stumble across one of the biodegradable prize tokens hidden in the area. These tokens can be exchanged for cash or prizes at Rotary Lookout between 9:00am – 1:00pm on the day. 🎉

💰 What’s up for grabs?

  • 1 x $1000 cash prize

  • 10 x $100 cash prizes

  • Riverina Skips merchandise prizes

Tokens are hidden south of Scenic Drive, stretching from Pioneer Park corner up to just past Hermit’s Cave. The heat map below shows the yellow-marked area where prizes can be found (inside the yellow line):

Remember, tokens can only be cashed in at the Rotary Lookout between 9am and 1pm on Sunday 28 September 2025. We’ll be parked there with the Riverina Skips truck, ready to collect rubbish and swap prizes.

⚠️ Important Safety Notes

  • Be aware of snakes 🐍 — Scenic Hill is their natural habitat.

  • Stay hydrated and take breaks in the shade.

  • Dispose of rubbish safely and carefully.

  • Parking is available at Pioneer Park, Hermit’s Cave, and Rotary Lookout — but please park away from moving traffic and remain cautious.

Scenic Hill is one of Griffith’s most iconic landmarks, but like many local spots, it needs some care. By coming together, we can:

  • Reduce litter and protect local wildlife 🦉

  • Keep walking trails safe and enjoyable 🚶

  • Enjoy a day outdoors with family and friends 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦
